Associates of Lucian Simon assisted the followers of Torrin Graves this hand, in their attempt to wrestle control of the Silk Street from new owner Furius Titanius in the Street of Brands. Scribes, wearing the insignia of the old academy, were rumored to be pressuring people to accept their teachings as well as pay a healthy tribute to the new owner, when men from the Square in the street of brands under Titanius, intervened and blocked their support for the intended take over. Though the action ended in stalemate, citizens were outraged at the loss of sleep and minor property damage

Anonymous sources confirm that the Crotona family thugs conspired with the Titanius clan to take control of the East market district. Crotona family members had controlled this area some hands back but seemed willing to provide muscle for the Titanius clan as they forced their way into the home of Klegmont Gorban, senate tribune for the territory and forced his allegiance. The market merchants attempted to counter this by sneaking the vice tribune into North occupied market but were met by militia from slavers row and north and were forced to withdraw.
